National Influenza Vaccination Week is approaching, and Central Michigan District Health Department, along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is recommending an annual influenza (flu) vaccine for everyone age 6 months and older.

Recent activity in the 81st Judicial District Court in Arenac County has resulted in the following:Vickie Marie Chambers, of Bay City, for contempt of court: sentenced to eight days in jail, eight days credited and $184 FC.Jeremy Derek Rodzos, of Macomb, for operating a motor vehicle while visibly impaired: sentenced to four days in jail, one days credited, three days to be served and $1,530 FC.Ivan Nelse Bergstrom, of Brimley, for disorderly person – drunk: sentenced to five days in jail, one day credited, four days to be served, $600 FC and 15 hours community service.Mollie Sue Hensley, of Prescott, for failure to report an accident: sentenced to one day in jail, $1,075 FC and 15 hours community service.Darren James Beyett, of Bay City, for operating a motor vehicle while license suspended/revoked/denied: sentenced to two days in jail and $485 FC.Criselda Schultz, of Au Gres, for operating a motor vehicle while license suspended/revoked/denied: sentenced to two days in jail and $485 FC.Shana Marie Turner, of Au Gres, for operating a motor vehicle while visibly impaired: sentenced to 25 days in jail, one day credited, 24 days to be served, $2,320 FC and 24 months’ probation.Caylyn Marsel Emanual, of Farmington, for contempt of court: sentenced to $150 FC.
