The long-awaited annual trivia night fundraiser to benefit the Arenac County Scholarship Fund, which be held this Saturday in Standish.
The 14th Annual Trivia Night, hosted by Arenac Community Funds, will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 at Sunrise Community Resource Center at 583 E. Cedar St.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m.
The annual event will feature awards, snacks, and 20 games of trivia. Teams will consist of up to eight persons, at a cost of $200 per team.
The yearly fundraiser provides scholarships for Arenac County high school graduates attending a Michigan college or trade school. Post-high school applicants who desire to further their studies to boost their job prospects are now welcome.
Last year’s fundraiser raised more than $11,000 for scholarships for Arenac County adults and high school graduates pursuing higher education, while the 2023 event raised over $12,000.
Since the scholarship fund’s creation in 2008, the ACF has granted over $170,000 to more than 200 Arenac County students.
