Board of Review
The City of Au Gres will host its organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. Regular Board of Review meetings will be held Monday, March 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Tuesday, March 11 from 3 – 9 p.m.
Meetings will be held at 124 W. Huron Road in Au Gres.
VFW fish fry
The VFW Post #3724 will host its Lent Fish Fries beginning Feb. 28, and each Friday until April 18, from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Arenac County Veterans Club, M-76 in Standish. Phone number: 989-846-4091.
The dinners include fish, shrimp or chicken tenders, baked potato, coleslaw and bread. Cost is $13. A fish/shrimp combo is $16. Dine in and take outs are available.
Donuts and coffee
Arenac County Veterans Affairs will host its next coffee and donuts event on Tuesday, March 4. Coffee and donuts is held the first Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Arenac County Veterans Club, 3221 M-76 in Standish.
The free program is open to all veterans and spouses. Arenac County Veterans Affairs, ACVA, can assist veterans and their families in accessing services and support.

Acrylic painting
The Northeast Art Center in Standish will host an Acrylic Painting Class on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northeast Art Center.
The class is the first in a Masters Painting Workshop series that will be taught by instructor Valeri Trombley. Learn to paint like Wassily Kandinsky, one of the pioneers of Modern Art. Students will learn about departing from realism by using vibrant colors, bold shapes and landscape impressions.
Students will create a 16” x 20” painting. No previous painting experience is required; minimum age requirement for all adult classes is 16 years-old. Registration can be found online at nemiac.org.

Routine immunizations
Walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. Walk-ins welcome, although those with appointments will be prioritized.
Seasonal Flu (ages 6 months and up)
Flu walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 – 4 p.m. Walk-ins welcome, although those with appointments will be prioritized.
COVID-19 (ages 6 months and up)
Covid walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 – 4 p.m. There is limited stock of the COVID-19 vaccine.
