AU GRES — The City of Au Gres has scheduled two public hearings Tuesday, June 6 to discuss matters concerning the city’s finances. Residents and concerned citizens may attend and participate in these hearings to voice their opinions and provide input.
AU GRES — The Au Gres-Sims School District received grants totaling $73,146.26 from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, during the Spring 2 percent distribution ceremony on Monday, May 22 at the Saganing Eagle’s Landing Outreach Center in Standish.

Rotary explores parks and nature preserves By Mandilee Hecht The annual Saginaw Bay Nature Festival, hosted by the Rotary Club of Pinconning and Standish, helps provide an opportunity for nature enthusiasts to explore the wildlife sightings and landscapes of area parks and nature preserves, through its annual tours. Three tours have been held this year, with another scheduled for later this month.
AU GRES — Au Gres City Council held its regular meeting on May 2 during which council discussed foreclosed properties that will be up for tax sale this year. The Arenac County Treasurer sent a list of properties to the council, including a boat slip in Harbortown and the lot next to Freakin' Pickles on US23. The City Council determined that they had no interest in these properties and recommended approving a waiver of claim.
