Activity in the 81st Judicial Court of Arenac County has resulted in the following:Kyle Denton Kwapisz, of Alger, for operating a motor vehicle while license suspended/revoked/denied and contempt of court: sentenced to $610 FC.Daniel Joseph Traynor, Metamora, for probation violation/failure to comply: sentenced to 33 days in jail and $2,160 FC.Thoms Brian Yenna, of Omer, for probation violation/failure to comply: sentenced to 150 days in jail and $150 FC.Zeth Dominic Gosselin, of Gladwin, for attempted no valid license in possession: sentenced to one day in jail and $410 FC.Kevin Michael Roberts II, of Standish, for no valid license in possession: sentenced to one day in jail and $410 FC.Brittney LaFay Domingues, of Saginaw, for disturbing the peace: sentenced to three days in jail, three days credited and $928 FC.Dean Michael Dewald, of Au Gres, for attempted criminal sexual conduct in the 4th degree – victim between 13-16 years of age: sentenced to 365 days in jail, one day credited, 364 days to be served and $1,385 FC.
January is School Board Recognition Month in Michigan, and Au Gres-Sims School District is one of 537 local and 56 intermediate school districts participating in the celebration.The staff of AGS express their gratitude to what they said is “one of the hardest working groups of volunteers in the community.”“The Au Gres-Sims School District Board of Education is elected to represent the people of the community in the oversight and priority setting of the schools,” a statement from the district said.“We are blessed to have such a dedicated group of individuals who voluntarily give endless hours each month to fulfill their roles.”The board is comprised of Fred Robel, Eric Schwiderson, Laura Storey, Matthew Dewyer, Heather Caulfield, Chris Brandimore and Shari Richardson.
