The Arenac County Board of Commissioners renewed the county medical examiner’s contract and appointed Carole O’Brien to the Bay Arenac Behavioral Health Authority board of directors at their regular meeting April 23.

STANDISH—An auction benefiting a series of programs in Standish including a youth fine arts camp, entertainment series, and art center programs will be held this Saturday in Standish beginning at 10 a.m.The Northeast Michigan Arts Council will host its 40th annual auction Saturday, April 13.

Standish will celebrate Loyalty Day again this year, with a parade through downtown on Saturday, April 29.Arenac County VFW Post hosts the event, and this year will be its 51st Loyalty parade.The 2024 parade theme is Faith and Love.

The Northeast Michigan Arts Council, NEMAC, in Standish will host two events in May that are sure to entertain residents of all ages.
