State awards $3.6 million for invasive species prevention and control
The state of Michigan announced Monday, March 3, that 32 projects, including projects in Arenac County, will share $3.6 million in funding through the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program for efforts that address the prevention, detection, eradication and control of aquatic (water-based) and terrestrial (land-based) invasive species.

AGS school district awarded $29,000 for financial aid
Au Gres-Sims School District announced that it has been awarded $29,371.71 as part of the Universal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Challenge. The initiative aims to increase FAFSA completion rates among Michigan high school seniors, providing them with access to valuable financial aid opportunities.
