Standish to receive over $5.5-million for water infrastructure
The Michigan Infrastructure Office announced the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will provide more than $42 million in grants and loans to several municipalities in Michigan, including the City of Standish and Standish Township, to bring safe, reliable drinking water systems, cutting-edge infrastructure, and economic growth to the state’s rural communities.

Last month, young students in Standish experienced a fun science-filled event, courtesy of a several organizations within the community.The Farm Science Lab was provided for Standish Elementary Students by funding from Karen Tremble Farm Bureau Insurance, Arenac County Farm Bureau, Areanc County Farm Bureau Young Farmers and the Standish-Sterling PTO.
