Standish business receives over $43,000 in ‘talent awards’

Area business celebrates 85 years

 This year, as Pinconning celebrates the annual Pinconning CheeseTown Challenge Race and Festival June 21-22, Wilson’s Cheese Shoppe in Pinconning celebrates its 85th year as a family-owned business.In 1915, Dan Horn, a Russian immigrant who resided in Pound, Wisconsin and a cheesemaker by trade, moved to Pinconning and created his signature item, Old-Fashioned Pinconning Cheese.
