There are a lot of things I like about living in the country.
Members of the Rotary Club of Pinconning and Standish heard a presentation by Sean Robinson, Senior Project Manager with AKT Peerless Environmental Services in Saginaw, on April 19, regarding the issue of PFAS, or Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances.
The Standish-Sterling boys track and field team placed first at the Hurd Invitational hosted by Vassar High School April 26, following 16 top-five finishes.Junior sprinter and long jumper Aidan Coggins shined brightly for the Panthers, placing first place in the 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 23.72.Coggins also added to his all-around performance by placing first in the long jump with a distance of 19-11.He had a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash, placing behind teammate, Andrew Stewart to sweep the top two spots in the sprint.
According to the Red Cross, approximately 328 million people currently live in the United States.
Many lessons were learned April 27 after Standish-Sterling dropped their first game of the season in walk off fashion at Midland Dow’s home tournament.
