Eight businesses recently partnered with Michigan Works! Region 7B to submit successful Going PRO Talent Fund grant applications. Funds awarded will help these businesses upskill their employees.

Daylight Saving Time and the equinox

Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 9, when clocks will spring forward one hour at 2 a.m. This change is expected to bring longer daylight hours in the evening.

You simply add four cups of water, half a cup of rubbing alcohol (to keep the mixture from freezing), a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, and a few drops of blue dye (which is obviously optional).

Put Your Town On The Map

The Consumers Energy Foundation is calling for entries in the annual Put Your Town on the Map pitch competition, which will provide $50,000 in grant funding for three projects to help small communities in Michigan grow and thrive. Communities with up to 10,000 residents can submit proposals through March 28.
