Taxpayers have less than a month to file their state individual income tax return, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury (Treasury).

MDHHS: First measles case in the state confirmed

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Oakland County Health Division have confirmed an adult case of measles in Oakland County. This is the first confirmed case of measles in Michigan this year and the first case since July 2024.

60,000 students enrolled in Michigan Achievement Scholarship

On March 10, Governor Gretchen Whitmer highlighted the growing impact of state scholarship programs in making earning a skill certificate and college degree more accessible and affordable for Michigan students and families—opening more pathways to good paying jobs. This spring, nearly 60,000 students are receiving the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, saving Michigan families $252.3 million in tuition costs statewide.

The VFW Post 3724 and Auxiliary will host its next monthly all-you-can-eat Buffet Breakfast on Sunday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Arenac County Veterans Club, 3221 M-76 in Standish. The events are held the second Sunday of every month. and are open to the public.
