More changes at the Herald-Independent

The evolution of operations at your community newspapers continues, as we consolidate into the southern half of the building at 215 Houghton Avenue in West Branch. Our crew is small but mighty and we keep the office open for regular business hours the best we can, although a sick day for any one of us can significantly impact office hours and news coverages.

Charitable service and patriotism

The events in New York City on September 11, 2001, separate what came before and all that has happened since in American society.
