Monday singing
The Arenac Choraleers are holding rehearsals every Monday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., in the choir room at Standish-Sterling Central High School, in preparation for their spring concert on May 3 in Standish.
Anyone who enjoys singing is invited to join, especially tenors and sopranos. A knowledge of music is not essential and there are no auditions to join the group.

City review
The City of Au Gres will host its organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. Regular Board of Review meetings will be held Monday, March 10 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Tuesday, March 11 from 3 – 9 p.m.
Meetings will be held at 124 W. Huron Road in Au Gres.
Weekly fish dinners
The VFW Post #3724 will host its Lent Fish Fries beginning this Feb. 28, and each Friday until April 18, from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Arenac County Veterans Club, M-76 in Standish. Phone number: 989-846-4091.
The dinners include fish, shrimp or chicken tenders, baked potato, coleslaw and bread. Cost is $13. A fish/shrimp combo is $16. Dine in and take outs are available.
Coffee, donuts, and vets
Arenac County Veterans Affairs will host its next coffee and donuts event on Tuesday, March 4. Coffee and donuts is held the first Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Arenac County Veterans Club, 3221 M-76 in Standish.
The free program is open to all veterans and spouses. Arenac County Veterans Affairs, ACVA, can assist veterans and their families in accessing services and support.

The Central Michigan District Health Department, 4489 W. M-61 in Standish, is offering the following immunizations for Arenac County residents:
Routine immunizations
Walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. Walk-ins welcome, although those with appointments will be prioritized.
Seasonal Flu (ages 6 months and up)
Flu walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 – 4 p.m. Walk-ins welcome, although those with appointments will be prioritized.
COVID-19 (ages 6 months and up)
Covid walk-in clinics (no appointment necessary), Mondays from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 – 4 p.m. There is limited stock of the COVID-19 vaccine.
