Valentine date night
A pizza, movie and pajama party for kids will be held Friday, Feb. 14 from 5:30 – 9 p.m. at Standish-Sterling Central Elementary. Open to those in grades pre-K through sixth grade.
Parents and caretakers are invited to enjoy a night out for Valentine’s Day, while letting students enjoy a pizza and movie night at the school.
Students can come dressed in pajamas and enjoy a movie, popcorn, pizza and fun activities. Each child will receive a Valentine movie ticket, water, punch, popcorn, and pizza. Tickets are $25 and siblings are an additional $15 each.
The event is sponsored by Girl Scout Troop 50685, with all proceeds going to the troop. Limited spacing is available.

Movie matinee
The Iosco-Arenac District Library invites the community to attend a movie matinee at the Mary Johnston Memorial library in Standish, this Saturday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m.
To see what’s playing, visit the library or go to www.ioscoarenaclibrary.org. The event is free and open to the public, there will be popcorn.
