Arenac County will mark the 60th anniversary of the Arenac County building, along with the grand opening of its newly expanded building at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

The building expansion for the courts and jail has been in the works for the last two years. The project is mostly completed at this point.

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan awarded $200,000 for the jail and courtroom expansion project during the tribe’s two percent grant distributions for Fall 2023.
