Michigan State University Extension will host the following online webinars:
Michigan’s Cottage Food Law on Tuesday, May 6 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Learn how to prepare and sell foods to the public under Michigan’s Cottage Food Law. This two-hour workshop combines education about the Michigan Cottage Food Law and the food safety aspects of preparing and selling cottage foods safely and successfully.
Michigan Cottage Food Law allows residents to manufacture foods in home kitchens and storing those products at home. Topics include preparing, packaging, labeling, storing, and transporting cottage foods.
This is a free workshop, taught by MSU Extension Food Safety Educators and MSU Product Center Educators.

Virtual Tai Chi for Better Sleep, beginning May 22
This program combines the benefits of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention and Sleep Education for Everyone. Tai Chi has been shown to increase strength, improve balance, and prevent falls.
Participants will also learn techniques to improve the quality and quantity of their sleep.
Each session will include:
• Tai Chi Warm-ups
• Tai Chi Lesson
• Tai Chi Cool Downs
• Sleep Education: the relationship between pain and sleep, sleep hygiene, and techniques to improve sleep.
• Goal Setting
This is an online class on Tuesday and Thursdays beginning May 22 and running through July 17 with two time choices, 8 – 9:30 a.m. or 4 – 5:30 p.m. This class is free. To register go to https://events.anr.msu.edu/tcbs2/
