William M. McBride

It is with great sorrow to announce that William (Bill) Michael McBride, from Standish, Michigan, son of the late Robert and Irene McBride (Gelnaw), peacefully passed away on December 4, 2019, at the age of 63.

William was raised in Standish, Michigan and is survived by his loving children, Benjamin (Kerri) McBride and Jonathan (Shalan) McBride and daughter, Katie (Michael) Fryske; dear brother of siblings; Joseph (Margaret) McBride, sister, June Drake, and brothers, Robert McBride, Charles (Kathy) McBride, Richard (Cathy) McBride and Pat (Mary) McBride; proud grandfather of grandchildren; Austin, Logan, Karleigh, Makala, Deklin, Hunter, Blake, James, and Jenna, and survived by many close in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Irene McBride; his beloved wife, Connie and his dog, Suggie.

William (Bill) is remembered as a person who gives of himself and is a straight shooter. Many family and friends could always rely on him for his help and enjoyed his sense of humor. He looked forward to relaxing at the cabin and took pride in hard work. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends and was famous for his infectious laugh. He also enjoyed casino trips, fixing things, and his role on the fire department, thus career as a certified truck driver. He had an entrepreneurial spirit as he loved his snow plow business, Bill’s Blades. He was a father of three children whom became his primary focus after losing his wife, Connie, in 2018. He is known as a great father with grounded values, traits he instilled in his children and grandchildren.

The visitation will be at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home - STANDISH CHAPEL on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019, 1:00-8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. His funeral services will be held at Resurrection of the Lord Parish Catholic Church in Standish, Michigan, on Monday, Dec. 9. He will lie in state prior to an 11:00 a.m. service officiated by Father David. Burial will take place at Clayton Township Cemetery in Sterling, Michigan, after a luncheon following mass.
