Verna ‘Annie’ Beechum

Died Oct. 27, 2019

Verna Ann (Annie) Beechum, 84, of Standish, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Oct. 27, 2019.

Annie was born April 6, 1935, in Standish to the late Edward and Mamie (Reno) Trombley. She married Wayne Beechum on July 6, 1957, and was married for 49 1/2 years until Wayne’s passing in December 2006. Together they built a home in Standish and raised four sons. Annie loved her family, gardening, reading and cooking, and was fantastic at all. She was a selfless, charismatic, independent woman. Annie really could do anything. She would change the oil in her tractor in the morning and have her nails painted and a full meal on the table for dinner. Annie was an amazing woman! She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed until they see her again.

Annie is survived by her sons, Craig, David (Judy), Doug (Sonya) and Chris (Natalie); 10 grandchildren, Jaime Beechum, Kyle (Andrea) Beechum, Nic (Alix) Beechum, Kristina (Louis) Heric, Graham Beechum, Brandon (Kelsye) Herman, Lance (Nicole) Herman, Corbin (Laura) Miller, Cassie Miller and Tarah Miller; eight great-grandchildren, Aubrianna, Ashlynn and Jackson Beechum, Bentley, Branson, Maelynn, Lydia, and Blakely Herman; siblings, Beatrice (Bunny) LaLonde, Donna Pierson, Barbara (Frank) Boike, Karen (Gene) Viola, Ronald Trombley, Jean (Gary) Courier, Lynn (Larry) Foco and Gary (Cynthia) Trombley; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family, too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Annie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne; brothers, Edsel (Edith) Trombley and Edward (Cecelia) Trombley; and in-laws, Virgil Byrne, William Pierson, Ray LaLonde, Dorothy Trombley, Karl and Rose (Ososki) Beechum, Bernard Beechum and Joan Beechum.

A private service will be held Oct. 31, 2019. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Whitney and her team at Compassus for the compassionate care given to Mom and our family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel.
