Thelma M. Bryan


Thelma Mae Bryan, 88, of Standish passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at the Villa at Rose City.

She was born March 21, 1931, in Standish to the late Dennis and Rose (Dorre) Ervin. Thelma married Thomas A. Bryan at the Methodist church in Bentley on Sept. 15, 1951. Thomas passed away June 13, 2013. She loved spending time with her family. Thelma also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, game shows and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed tending to her flowers in her garden.

Thelma is survived by her four children, Darlene White, Mary Lou Rivers, Donna Stagray and Ronald Bryan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margie Rang and Betty Strepanski.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys Friday and Wilma Biskner; two brothers, Leo Ervin and LeRoy Ervin; two sons-in-law, Larry Stagray and Keith Rivers; and one grandson, Don A. White Jr.

According to Thelma’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Thelma’s life will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at noon at the Deep River Township Park Pavilion in Sterling. Fellowship will follow from the time of service until 5 p.m.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel.
