Rosella L. Kiley

Rosella Lydia Kiley, 89, of Standish passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019.

She was born April 3, 1930, in Detroit to the late Charles and Georgina (Woodruff) Morgan. Rosie was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3724 Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She worked at Standish-Sterling schools in the food service department. Rosie was the “Lunch Lady.”

Rosie is survived by her seven children, David (Patricia) Kiley, Debra Kiley, Douglas (Jill) Kiley, Daniel Kiley, Donna (Dennis) Proulx, Danette Clay and Dean Kiley. She is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Trish (Gibby), Ivan, Isiah, Kiley, Kristin (Mike), Hali (Justin) Mason, Carter, Selah, Jarrett, Melanie, Heather, Gary (Tashina) Zehlen, Adrie, Stephanie, Amanda (Josh), Everleigh Rose, Ashley, Jeremy (Kimberly) Jorja, Kamryn, Jaxon, Amy (Joe), Aiden, Graham, Melissa (Taylor), Cayden and Jeffrey.

Rosie was predeceased by her husband, Francis “Frank” Kiley, in 2008.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, with the Rev. Father David Parsch officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection of the Lord Cemetery, Standish. The family will greet family and friends Monday, May 20, from 2-8 p.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday. Rosie will lie in state at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of mass at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked people to consider the American Heart Association or the VFW Post 3724.
