Richard F. Kutchuk

Died Aug. 23, 2019


Richard Frederick Kutchuk, 88, of Standish passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Ascension Standish Long Term Care Facility.

He was born July 1, 1931, in Detroit to the late Zackory and Irene (Tatro) Kutchuk. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retirement Richard worked as a production supervisor for Bay City Chevrolet. He enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. Richard was also a Detroit sports fan.

Richard is survived by his seven children, Christal (Dennis) Richards, Rebecca (Brady) Steckert, Richard (Jan) Kutchuk II, Michael (Pamela) Kutchuk, Janet (Jeffrey) Yenior, Douglas (Tracy) Kutchuk and Thomas Kutchuk. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Richards, Jenifer (Steve) Trombley, Ashley Nelson, Sheryl Nelson, Megan Eminger, Jonathan Kutchuk, Tyler Kutchuk, Jeffrey Yenior, Jessica Yenior, Jacob Yenior, Connor Kutchuk, Emily Kutchuk, Bethlyn Kutchuk, Devin Kutchuk and Skyler Kutchuk. Richard is survived by 13 great-grandchildren, Mikayla Hamilton, Tanner Hamilton, Augustine Ostrom, Elissa Stec, Aidan Yenior, Aryn Ball, Shaun Popma, Nouvelle Yenior, Jackson Yenior, Logan Yenior, Evelyn Yenior, Adalaide Yenior and Cassie Richards. He is survived by three sisters-in-laws, Mary Ann Dembowski, Elaine Cardinal and Gay Lynn Cardinal.

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne (Cardinal) Kutchuk, on July 15, 2010.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel with Pastor Eric Schmidt officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will greet family and friends Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, from 2-7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
