Rain holds off for Rock ’n’ Roll car cruise

While the forecast called for rain all day, the showers held off as more than 300 cars rolled through town for the Au Gres Cruisers Car Club’s 26th annual Rock ’n’ Roll Weekend cruise Saturday, July 27. The 13-mile cruise started in front of the Au Gres-Sims school on Michigan Avenue and ended at the Au Gres City Park, where an afterparty was held with dancing, a live band, contests with trophies and more. Weekend festivities will continue tomorrow morning with a car show at the park. Registration, which cost $10, will begin at 8 a.m. and run through noon.
