Michael John Sadlak, 63, passed away after a sudden illness Sept. 25, 2019, at Henry Ford Hospital with family by his side.

He was born in West Branch on June 28, 1956, to Kathryn and John Sadlak. Mike worked for Reliable Plumbing and Heating in Midland for 30 years. He loved riding his 4x4 ATV around the yard with his dog Jules, every second of hunting and fishing with his sons, and attending concerts with his wife. He enjoyed the company of his friends at Goodroe’s Farm for “3:00 Coffee.” Mike was a surrogate father to many of his boys’ friends.

Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cathy (Richardson) Sadlak; and sons, Steven and Jonathan Sadlak. Mike is also survived by his twin sister, Mary Shannon; sisters, Sharon (Mike) Rodgers and Karen Weishuhn; brother, Bob (Dorie) Sadlak; mother-in-law, Helen Richardson; brother-in-law, Randy (Karen) Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Kathryn Sadlak; father-in-law, Richard Richardson; and brothers-in-law, Mark Richardson, Jim Shannon and Rick Weishuhn.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. Tim Moeggenberg officiated. A private burial followed. Friends and family called at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, and from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday.

So very sorry for all. I hold many great childhood memories of visiting the Sadlak home, and having Mike as a classmate.
