Mary Niedzwiecki

Mary Niedzwiecki, 97, of Fenton died Friday, May 11, 2018.

Mary was born April 13, 1921, in Port Huron, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Gyriscko. Mary worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Sam Sorcher for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton and St. John Lutheran Church in Au Gres. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and making jellies and jams, and she adored and loved her dog Max. Most importantly she loved her family and friends.

Surviving are her four sons, Gary (Beverly) of Venice, Fla., Vernon (Diane) of East Jordan, Gordon M. (Christina) of Fenton and Michael R. (Linda) of Howell; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Smith; husband, Joseph Niedzwiecki; granddaughter, Debbie; sisters; Helen, Elizabeth, Irene and Lillian; and brother, Paul.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mount Morris.
