The AuGres Women in Business (AWIB)was established in 2005 by founders,President, Josie Meyer, owner of Whitestone Pointe Cabins and Pam Findlay owner of Rooster Inn B & B and the Chicken Coope Gift Shoppe.

The, "Au Gres Women in Business," created a variety of events to bring awareness and fun to the area. The proceeds from these events were distributed in the Community among a variety of Groups, Teams and Organizations.

The most recent event the, "Au Gres Women in Business," hosted was,"Comedy Night," the proceeds were evenly distributed and donated to the, "Au Gres Chrisitian Charities," and to the, "Arenac County Hisorical Museum."

"This is the last of the AWIB events" said Meyer.Although several of the events where sell outs, it was difficult to maintain the momentum. The members have summer businesses which keep them busy.
