Larry Henry Wells, 76, of Sterling passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at his home.

Larry was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Plainfield Township, Iosco County, to the late Henry and Gladys (Bush) Wells. He married Nancy Ann Reno on July 11, 1968, in Mount Clemens. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Larry retired from Ameritech in December 1994 after 32 years. He loved woodworking, which included repairing antique furniture and making toys. Larry enjoyed fishing and going to auctions. He also used to race dirt track motorcycles. Larry was a lifetime member of the Standish Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3724. He will be especially remembered for his willingness to put everyone else first when something was needed.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; and their five children, Rayford (Carin) Reno, Ronald Reno, Dennis (Christine) Reno, Lisa Johnson and Larry J. Wells. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael Reno, Jennifer Reno, Ryan (Vanessa) Reno, Emily Reno, Jonathan Reno, Kylie Wells and Ethan Wells; and two great-grandchildren, Jasmine Cervantes and Rihanna Reno.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel. The family will greet family and friends Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, from 1-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that any expression of sympathy be directed to Wounded Warriors.
