Jerry Meyer was born on September 2, 1942 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Edward and Evelyn (Pietron) Meyer. He died peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Meyer, his brother, Richard (Laura) Meyer, his sister, Joanne (Jim) Sandlin and two sons, Curt Meyer and Tommy Meyer. He has two grandsons, Abram and Aksel.

Jerry graduated from Walled Lake High School and served in the Air Force for four years. He worked at General Motors as a foreman for 32 years, before retiring on June 1, 1998.

Jerry loved being outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. Jerry was a big fan of the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan football. You could find him watching all of his favorite sport teams on the weekends.

Jerry will be missed and fondly remembered by his many extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan with Pastor John Tousciuk officiating. Jerry will receive full military honors for his time spent in the U. S. Air Force. Interment will follow at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. The family will greet family and friends Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan.
