James E. Trinklein

Died Nov. 4, 2018


James E. Trinklein, 72, of Sterling passed away at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.

He was born Dec. 9, 1945, in Saginaw to the late Leonard and Lois (Hepinstall) Trinklein. Jim graduated from Tawas Area High School class of 1964, and he worked for 30 years for Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 2. Jim was the found and president for 29 years of the Michigan Association of Gamebird Breeders and Hunting Preserves. Jim loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He married his wife Terri on July 3, 1965.

James is survived by his wife, Terri Trinklein; his children, Jim (Peggy) Trinklein of Tawas and Michael (Jessica) Trinklein of Beaverton; his grandchildren, Jordan Trinklein of Bay City, Alexcis Trinklein of Beaverton, Jessica Ranes of Gladwin and Hannah Trinklein of Tawas; his step-granddaughter, Katie (Miller) Padgett; brothers-in-law, Dale Bahr of East Tawas and Charles Hill of Katy, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roland and Keith Trinklein; his sister, Nila Bahr; and several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mr. Trinklein will take place Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 4-8 p.m. at the Tawas City Chapel of Buresh Funeral Homes; and Thursday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will take place Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rob Nordin officiating. A committal service will be held Friday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Saginaw.
