First positive case of COVID-19 confirmed in Arenac County


ARENAC COUNTY — The Central Michigan District Health Department confirmed the first positive case of COVID-19 in Arenac County on Monday, March 30.

CMDHD stated in a press release the individual’s travel history is unknown at this time. In total, there are 12 confirmed positive cases in the CMDHD region of coverage, including five in Isabella County, two in Gladwin County, two in Osceola County, one in Clare County and one in Roscommon County. One death in Isabella County has been attributed to the virus. 

“CMDHD will continue to contact those who have been in close contact with the patients and they will be assessed for symptoms and monitored appropriately,” the release states.
