Donald Edward Spycher, 77, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1942 in Standish to the late Edward and Gladys (Schwerin) Spycher.

Don graduated from high school in 1960. He married the former Celina Hamell, August 26, 1983 in Standish, Michigan. Don was a volunteer fireman, working for the Gibson Township Volunteer Fire Department as Chief from 1977 to 1983 and he was a member of the Sterling Volunteer Fire Department. He was a hobby farmer and loved to hunt and fish with his son. Don was a jack of all trades and loved to build things for family members.

Don is survived by his wife, Celina; his four children, Donna (Ronald) Bouldin, Diane (Bob) Szostak, Darell (Brandi) Spycher, Tammy Spycher; and his four stepchildren, Leonard (Linda) Sexton, Cheryl (David) Berry, Jeff (Arlene) Sexton and Mark Sexton. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Don is survived by two sisters, Ruth Keeley and Gloria (Tom) Hunt. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth and a sister, Sandra Spycher. He was also predeceased by three grandsons; Brandon Norman, Wade Spycher and Timmy Sexton; one stepson, Andrew Sexton, a niece, Starli View and a brother-in-law, Ralph Keeley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL with Pastor Kevin Switzer officiating. According to Don’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. The family will greet family and friends from 1:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan.
