Constance M. Blehm

Died Feb. 26, 2020

Marie Blehm, 72, gained her most deserving eternal reward of Heaven on February 26, 2020 at Ascension Skilled Nursing Facility of Standish. Connie was born July 19, 1947 at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Hollywood, California to the late Dexter Lytle and Marjorie (Fetting) Gould. Connie married her husband of 21 years, Michael “Mike” Henry Blehm on March 3, 1973 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Saginaw, MI. Since July 29, 1994 he has been saving her a place in Heaven’s paradise. Together Connie and Mike had three children, Kevin (Dawn) Blehm, Stacy (Jack) Nichols and Mark Blehm. On March 3, 2018, Mark also went ahead to prepare a place in Heaven.

In addition to her children, Kevin (Dawn) and Stacy (Jack), Connie is survived by three grandchildren, Zachary Blehm, Brenna Nichols, and Sofie Torrez. Also surviving Connie are her siblings, Kay (the late Joseph) Sweeney, LaVonne (Richard) Bradford, Alisa Lytle, and Steve Lytle, her stepfather, Clare Gould, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Connie is best known for her loving heart, her desire to care for others and her faith in the Lord. No matter what she had to sacrifice she always put others ahead of herself. There is none more deserving of a place in Heaven’s paradise than she. The Earthly world has truly lost someone special and irreplaceable. Our only comfort is that this is not a permanent goodbye, only goodbye for now. Thankfully Connie instilled an immense faith in her children in order for them to go on until they are reunited as a family again in Heaven.

Connie’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of the staff members of Ascension Skilled Nursing Facility of Standish for the wonderful care and compassion that Connie received during the final week of her life.

A private memorial service was held on March 4, 2020 at the Lee Ramsey Funeral Chapel of Standish. A special friend and spiritual leader for the family, Yvette Chisholm presided over the service.
