Bonnie Jean Anderson, 71, of Omer passed away peacefully Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Bonnie was born May 17, 1947, to the late John and Mary (Brabo) Lentz in Omer. She married Richard Anderson on Aug. 27, 1966, in Omer. Bonnie worked as a secretary at Arenac Eastern school for 30 years. Her passion was her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Michelle (Edward) Pfund, Tracy (James) Sabin and Richard (Cheryl) Anderson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Bailey, Travis, Hillary and Griffin.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Beldora Moat; and her sister, Beverly Balenda.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 18, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Au Gres, with the Rev. Father Gerald Balwinski officiating and interment in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery, Omer. The family will greet family and friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel, Standish, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Bonnie will lie in state at St. Mark’s Catholic Church from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at 11 a.m.

The Anderson family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff in the ICU at Covenant Hospital for their understanding and help during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bonnie’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
