Bernard Joseph Bachleda, 73, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 following a short illness. He was born August 7, 1946 to the late Frank and Mary (Uryga) Bachleda in Bay City, Michigan. Buck married the former, Janis L. Brown at St. Florian’s Catholic Church in Standish in 1971. Janis passed away October 30, 2008. He worked for Rayburn Oil for many years before retiring from Saginaw Michigan Water Supply. Buck enjoyed hunting and just spending time on the hunting property. He also enjoyed bowling and golfing. An annual golf tournament bears his name “The Buck Open”. Buck was very involved in all the activities of his grandsons, attending all the sporting events and band concerts to support them.

Buck is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Bill) Scanlan and two grandsons, Tyler Scanlan and Tanner Scanlan. He is survived by his special friend, Connie Schell. Buck is also survived by one sister, Phyllis Mitgutsch; one niece, Krissy (Gary) Sullivan and one nephew, Eric (Linda) Mitgutsch.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, Michigan with Rev. Fr. David Parsch officiating. Interment will be in Pine River Cemetery, Standish, Michigan. The family will greet family and friends Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-STANDISH CHAPEL, Standish, Michigan where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Buck will lie in-state at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m.
