Adelia M. Colombe, 94, of Standish passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the centennial farm she shared with her husband, Leonard.

She was born July 17, 1923, in Standish to the late Helen (nee Kolinski) and Lawrence Dworek. Del attended Maple Grove School, graduated from Standish High School and then attended Saginaw Business College. During World War II, Del worked for an insurance firm in Detroit. After the war, returning to Standish, she worked for the Nuttall Agency where she had lived and worked in high school. On April 30, 1949, Del married Leonard Colombe, who predeceased her in 1998.

Surviving are her children, Carole O’Brien (Glenn Peabody) and David Colombe (Jill Richards); and grandchildren, Kyle and Maureen O’Brien.

Del was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence and Stanley.

The family wishes to thank exceptional caregivers, Dave, Kasey, Luanne, Marge and Steve. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church or the Arc Arenac Area, serving people with disabilities.

According to Del’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Del’s life will be held Friday, April 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, Standish, with the Rev. Rebecca Owsley officiating. The family will greet family and friends Thursday, April 26, from 4-8 p.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel.
