George W. Powell of Athens, Michigan (formerly of Sterling), passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023, with his loving family by his side.

He survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Barbara; three children, Mark, Kimberly Varadi and Kellee Drozdrowski; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James (Jody).

George will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.

Cremation has taken place and no other arrangements have been planned at this time.
