The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, MDHHS, has issued a Request for Proposal for Emergency Medical Services workforce grants to provide funding for enhancing and training of Michigan EMS workforce personnel.

The next meeting of the Bay-Arenac Woodworking Club will be held Saturday, June 10, in a club member’s shop at 754 E. Newberg Road, Pinconning, beginning at 1:30 p.m. During the meeting, a club member will demonstrate his methods for gluing stacked circular blanks together and, by using a lathe, produce a smoothly turned segmented bowl.

Registrations open for arts camp STANDISH - The Northeast Art Center, 3233 Grove Street Road in Standish, will soon offer its week-long Fine Arts Day Camp, giving area students an opportunity to experience the world of fine arts. The art camp is sponsored by Northeast Michigan Arts Council and is supported in part by the Arenac Community Fund of the Bay Area Community Foundation.

AU GRES — The Au Gres-Sims School District received grants totaling $73,146.26 from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, during the Spring 2 percent distribution ceremony on Monday, May 22 at the Saganing Eagle’s Landing Outreach Center in Standish.
