Two arrested for alleged meth production operation

ADAMS TWP. — Two people are facing charges related to meth production after a pair of arrests May 10.

Police executed a search warrant on the 7000 block of Ellison Road in Adams Township May 10 and reportedly discovered an alleged methamphetamine production operation, according to Arenac County Undersheriff.

Upon conclusion of the search, James Marcott II, 47, of Sterling and Daniel Brink, 22, of Midland were arrested. Marcott was charged with maintaining a drug house and manufacturing marijuana and Brink was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Court documents state that meth components found at the scene included fuel oil, an open pack of lithium batteries, Liquid Fire drain cleaner, a coffee grinder with white residue and a measuring cup with white residue. A package for pseudoephedrine was also reportedly discovered near the residence in a ditch on Adams Road south of Ellison Road, court documents state.

Brink and Marcott were arraigned in 81sts District Court in Standish May 11.
