Robert Clinton Potts, 77, of Kawkawlin passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at his residence with his family by his side.

Robert was born July 9, 1940, to the late Clarence and Mary (Beaton) Potts in Paw Paw. He married the former Barbara McIntosh in Bay City on June 12, 1965. Robert was an avid hunter at the Potts hunting camp. He was a charter boat captain and a skilled woodworker. Robert was an avid runner, completing the Chicago Marathon twice. He was retired mayor of Brissette Beach. He also loved to go to all of his grandchildren’s activities, especially sporting events. Robert was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Prince of Peace Elks Lodge No. 88.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; and his two sons, Jeffrey (Joanna) Potts and Gregory (Barbara) Potts. He is survived by his grandchildren, Sydney, Colton and Jessica Potts, Coltin and Nathan Richardson, Nicole (Scott) Biskup and Ellie (Chad Vantol) Potts; and one great-granddaughter, Adelyn Grace Biskup. Robert is also survived by siblings, James (Betty) Potts, Ann Marie Burushko, Donald (Kathy) Potts and Nancy (Gary) Mueller; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Sandy) Rozinsky.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Standish, with the Rev. Father David Parsch officiating. Robert will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Family will greet family and friends Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Standish Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
