No injuries in two-vehicle crash that resulted in rollover

OMER — A two-vehicle collision on US-23 resulted in no injuries Thursday, Sept. 7, although both vehicles suffered substantial damage.

Police say the crash, which was reported at approximately 10 a.m. in the city of Omer, occurred when a Jeep being drive northbound by Charysh Couture, 22, of Omer, impacted the rear end of a motorhome. After impact, the motorhome, which was also traveling northbound, rolled over onto its passenger side and came to rest on the shoulder. The driver of the motor home, Larry Barnes, 68, of Cleves, Ohio, and a passenger, were reportedly assisted in exiting the motorhome by passersby.

The Arenac County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Standish Area Fire Authority, MMR and H & R Towing.
