CSC case could head to jury trial in July

Posted

STANDISH — An Alger man facing three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct could go before a jury in July, unless the prosecution and defense agrees to a plea agreement before the scheduled trial.

Gary Lefkiades Jr., of 49, was charged with three counts of first-degree CSC causing injury. The jury trial has been scheduled for July 21 and July 24-25. Court documents allege Lefkiades and a woman met on an internet dating site and arranged to meet at his home in Alger in November 2016. The victim said during that meeting, Lefkiades allegedly performed harmful sexual acts to her against her will.

Lefkiades is currently out on a 10 percent $800,000 cash surety bond. He is being represented by Attorney Duane Hadley.
