On Friday, Aug. 20, the Standish-Sterling Central Volleyball team lost in 3 sets, 25-27, 18-25, and 20-25 to Gladwin. Head Coach Becky Murphy said the girls played well for their first competitive game of the year against another school.
On Monday, Aug. 23, SSC played Whittemore-Prescott and won in 3 sets 25-9, 25-19, and 25-15.
SSC will play John-Glenn at home on Thursday, Aug. 26. Freshmen and JV play at 5:30 with varsity playing after.
