Here are a few of the articles we're reading today:

- The Detroit News reports that Gov. Rick Snyder is pitching his proposal across the state to get $1.2 billion more from drivers each year to help rebuild Michigan's roadways and bridges.

- Also from the Detroit News, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood has announced that M-1 railway transit project will receive $25 million from the federal government. The plan is to build a mass transit rail line along Woodward Ave. in Detroit to ease the overtaxed bus system, heavily used by commuters.

- The BBC reports that the Fermi telescope, designed to look at gamma rays, may have detected signs of dark matter. Scientists have been trying to prove the existence of dark matter since the 1930s.
