Here are some stories we’re reading today:
- Detroit Mayor Dave Bing said today he expects Gov. Rick Snyder to make a decision Friday on appointing an emergency financial manager for the city.
- Pope Benedict XVI departed the Vatican for the last time today after announcing his resignation last week.
- And as one day remains before $85 billion worth of cuts are set to kick in, Congress and President Obama are catching heat for not showing a sense of urgency in finding a resolution to the sequester.
