Walderzak finishes in second in discus at state finals

Standish-Sterling's Cole Walderzak was a few feet short of a state championship in the discus June 5, throwing 174 feet 2 inches, coming in second to Derek Sievers, of Byron Center.

The SSC standout also placed sixth in the shot put, which was won by Anthony Zettel, of Ogemaw Heights.
