In observance of Flag Day June 14, the Standish American Legion hosted a flag disposal ceremony for the community. Several area Boy Scouts were present to lend a hand. Old, tattered American Flags were draped over wooden poles and set on a fire after a short ceremony conducted by Legion officials.
