Residents and village council members of Turner gathered in front of the village hall May 18 to plant flowers along sidewalks in the village. The flower-planting was part of an effort by the village to spruce up the village. Other projects in the beautification effort include filling potholes and clearing sidewalks of debris. Several people showed up to lend a hand with the flower planting, as ground between the sidewalks and curbs had to be rototilled, and some dirt needed to be moved before the flowers were planted.
