Sterling Area Fire Department visits Sterling Elementary

Children in Jeff Katt's fourth grade class file out of a smoky room in the Sterling Area Fire Department's smokehouse, which is used to teach the proper way to get out of a smoky room or house during a fire.

Members of the Sterling Area Fire Department visited Sterling Elementary to talk fire safety with students. Classrooms emptied into the parking lot, where students walked through a smokehouse, learned about fire rescue equipment and spray a fire hose.
