Standish-Sterling youth wrestlers bring home six state championship titles

Standish-Sterling Youth Wrestlers Traveled to Auburn for the North Eastern Michigan Wrestling Association STATE FINALS CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Winners received Trophies.

In the 5 - 6 age division in fourth place was Elijah Burkhardt

In the 7-8 year old age division, in third place Luke Allen.

In the 9 -10 year old age division, in first place Bailey Schalk and Hunter Gasper (Making Gasper a 3 time State Championship Title winner), second place Dillon Mayer and third place Zeb Wilson

In the 11-12 year old age division, in first place were Ben Lentz, Cassidy Linton and Bobby Alexander (making Alexander a four time State Championship Title winner) and placing fourth Alex Ball

In the 13-14 year old age division, in first place Brett Thayer, second place Paige Gasper, and fourth place Matt Crawford and Frank Thayer.

Wrestlers will be finishing their season with an awards banquet on March 19th.
