Classic cars from the AuSable Valley A's automobile club are put out on display during the 2010 Senior Olympics at St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital Thursday morning. Seniors and members of the community also got to enjoy a health fair, and the chance to compete in many athletic events.

STANDISH — The 2010 Senior Olympics kicked off today at St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital. Seniors from the long term care facility at the Hospital and MediLodge of Sterling, along with seniors from the local community, competed in many different sporting events. John Hoppe, 88, was crowned king of event, while 96-year-old Bea Demo was named queen of the day.
